The future is a loose term. By the future does one mean ten minutes from the present or ten years? And to elaborate further, could the future not mean past our very existence? When I am asked of the future I never know what to say. I could say I have no plans, which would give the illusion that I am a worthless lazy fool. But to have no plans for the future doesn't necessarily mean I am going to end up a failure. Our whole existence has a purpose, and that purpose is far too complex for this one track mind of mine. Having plans for the future means to know exactly what is going to happen. That isn't possible. To have plans for the future just means I want to achieve a goal in an orderly and precise way. So in a way to plan for the future simply means I am planing for my eventual failure to succeed in that exact and perfect way. Having plans for the future must mean it will stay in the future, but having plans for the present guarantees a successful future. Do you understand? Now if I want to stress one thing, it would be to ask yourself this: What I am doing right now? Will this help me achieve what I want to achieve in this very moment? If not, change it.
